Private Swim Lessons

A private swim lesson is a series of one on one training sessions. Classes are individually designed for each participant. All ages and all levels can be taught. Please call the Aquatic Department and ask for Katie Corbett as these lessons are limited by the availability of instructors. 7-30 minute lessons. Each 30 minute lesson: $11/members, $20/non-members.

Semi-Private Swim Lessons

A semi-private swim lesson is a series of classes with a ratio of two or more kids at the same ability level, with one instructor. All ages and all levels can be taught. Sign up with a friend or sibling. Please call the Aquatic Department and ask for Katie Corbett as these lessons are limited by the availability of instructors. 7-30 minute lessons. Each 30 minute lesson: $8/members, $16/non-members.

Red Cross Lifeguard Course

Ages 16 and up

Enhance your swimming skills and increase employment opportunities by becoming a certified lifeguard.  Strong swimming skills required.  This class includes First Aid, CPR and use of AED.  Must attend all classes, pass written and water tests to become certified. Min 3/Max 9

 

 

 

Swim Instructor Course

Ages 16 and up

Increase employment opportunities by becoming a Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI). This class will teach the NEW Red Cross swim levels including Parent and Child, Preschool and Youth levels as well as Water Safety Outreach. Participants must attend all classes, pass written and water tests to become certified.

 

Red Cross Lifeguard & CPR Re-certifications

This course will re-certify Red Cross Lifeguard and/or CPR for Lifeguards. Participants must be current or expired no more than one year ago. Certification is not guaranteed. Call the YMCA and ask for Heidi to get dates & times.


 

Water Fitness

Our Aquatic classes are designed to help meet all your fitness needs! All ages, men are welcome too!Water aerobic is recommended by exercise physiologists for the general population as well as special populations. No swimming skills are required. As with all exercise programs, please consult your doctor before beginning classes or water fitness training.

"Surf N Turf"

A land and water program designed to keep your muscles challenged and knock the boredom out of the same old routines. Water, poolside routines and wellness center equipment will be incorporated into the program. Call Bonilee Maclay with questions and start up information, 248-6211.

 Aquatic Boot Camp

This class is meant to max your swimming fitness workout. We will use kick-boards, weights, belts and zoomers to create a fast paced workout to target gluts, quads, abs and back muscles.  45 minute workout  Max. Enrollment: 6     Spring only: April 26th - June 9th - 7wks

Aqua Fit

A  shallow water, high level of cardiovascular training with strength and toning.  You'll learn how to maximize the water's resistance and challenge each muscle group.  Great for beginners!

Deep Water Core-Cardio

Core + Cardio, thats what this deep water class is all about! A total body workout that begins the momoent you enter the pool! Belts may be worn, but not necessary. No swimming skills required.

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program

A program created by physical therapists to keep joints flexible, muscles strong and to help reduce the pain associated with arthritis. The soothing warmth and buoyancy of warm water make this program an ideal environment for relieving arthriitis pain and stiffness.

Aqua Splash

This is a low impact aerobic class that includes strength and toning for those needing to get their joints in motion in the safety of the water.

Aquatic Personal Training

Add a new dimension to your workout while taking the stress of your joints. Aquatic training is a great way to lose weight,  tone up and increase cardio-respiratory endurance! Call they Y and ask for Bonilee!

 

 

Geneva YMCA Masters Dolphin Swim Team

The Master Dolphin is an adult swim team with members from 18 and up. We focus on technique and conditioning and swim in several meets. The Master Dolphin team is a great way to be  part of a dedicated group of competitive swimmers that works and laughs

Practices:
Tues. & Thurs. 6-7:30 am
Sat. 7-8:30 am

Members $250 annual OR $26 per month

Non-members $375 annual OR $39 per month
